PLEASE help.... I have a Comet Pro and have been to bowlingballreviews looking for info about this ball, not much there. What kind of core in this ball and what kind of cover? I'm sure someone here knows the answers. THANKS in advance!!

The core is an inverted Viper core, cover I don't know probably some regular type of resin.  It's designed for the lighter oils like the Viper remake is/was.

I have thrown them both.  The CometPro(my top 3 fav balls of all time) shows a smooth arcing motion from start to finish.  Nothing angular about this one.  The Viper shows much more snap or "recoverability" on the backends.  I was lucky enough to find another 15# CometPro just a couple of days ago.  Also got a single drill Teal Saw (15#) from the same guy.  I think you will like the CPro more if arc is what you want.  Good luck with it and msg me if you have a 15# CPro you want to sell in the near future.

Here in the info on the Comet Pro... coming directly from Lane#1:

The Comet Pro used the Viper core, but inverted so that the point was to the top, instead of the cut off diamond. This is a low RG core, similar to a light bulb, but in a diamond form. The coverstock was the Rhino RE cover. This ball goes longer and was designed for short oil/hooking lanes. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us again anytime by e-mail or phone 1-800-Lane No.1 (526-3661). Thank you for your interest.

Sincerely,
Lane #1

Hope this helps,
