Cores

Has lane 1 ever thought of producing the cores themselves? My understanding is they are priced higher because Brunswick both makes the cores and supplies the coverstocks. other companies provide the cores and purchase only the coverstock production, hence less cost and cheaper balls.

They do make their own cores and ship them to Brunswick to be poured around.  They charge what they charge because they can and thats the bottom line.  They obviously sell enough balls to stay in business and earn profit if they didn't they would either drop their prices or go out of business.  Thats about as simple as you can put it.  SOme people won't buy them because of the price and some people will.  I will buy a buzzsaw as opposed to other balls becuase I like them but you wan't see me riding in a BMW not because of the price but because I like my Jeep just fine.
