Title: cranberry buzzsaw

have a cranberry c core drilled stacked.i have taken it to 4000 with high gloss.looks good but snaps really hard.......no carry.....what surface should i have on this baby.......save me a lot of experimentation....i bought it nib but she was dull and ugly looking lol

Cover prep depends alot on your speed and revs and lane conditions I prefer mine at 2000 abralon for oilier lanes  but if you are more speed dominant you may need it even duller if you bowl on medium conditions you may like it better at 4000 no polish

i dont have this ball anymore(wish i did lol)but i had mine at 2000 abrlon w/polish. with the 2k underlying grit it should burn off just enough energy to arc hard (not snap) and be more controllable on the backend. give it a try i think you will be pleasently surprised. how is it drilled?

thanks.its stacked and i have taken it to high i think,,4000 high gloss.....i will hit it 2000 with light polish to check it out....many thanx

Why not just knock the polish of and leave it at 4000 ?

original Brunswick applied surface was 400 with rough buff and a light polish if I recall.

Most PK18 balls tend to like something around 1000 to 1500 with a very light polish for most people...need more length, go finer in grit. Want more snap, add more polish.
