well since im an idiot sometimes, lol, whats a good layout for the cranberry. is there any chance it could be my dry lane ball under my purple vibe when it starts reading the heads to fast? im a medium/low tracker with a 4 1/2 pap with about 17mph and 350revs. thanks guys

I don't know what kind of specs the ball has. I understand from the other post the ball has been plugged, correct? I would see how it was drilled & if you like that layout drill it back to same if possible. Maybe utilize the existing thumb or finger holes.
I had my cranberry drilled 1:30 label & liked it a lot. It had a great backend. I don't think you can use it for a dry lane ball, however. It's PK18 resin, so I would say medium oil would suit it just fine.

i figured the pk18 would be too strong, i was thinking of putting the pin about 2inches above my fingers on the midline and putting the cg under the ring finger

You know me, Label sucks..  LOL

I also had a Cranberry drill 1:30 Label, thankfully it was used and I didn't waste allot of money on it cause I was very disappointed...  

I'd say you'd be much happier and safer with a CG out drilling...

Oh believe me I love it..  I've drilled 6-7 balls this way, and will continue to use it...  The only reason not too that I've found is if your a high tracker like myself you can and will clip the fingers and/or thumb.  I've found that once you find the correct surface prep this no longer was an issue for me.

wut will rico give me on this ball...i mean rico just allows the ball to start up soon and just roll correct? ive seen the rico, but never gotten to throw it so i dont know how it would work for me

smooth, consistant and strong...  You won't see the type of reactions like a big bend, late snap, etc.  Just a nice smooth arc..  Strength will depend on surface prep and lane conditions...

Zeus & Nova, do you guys see a big enough difference in reaction just depending on coverstock & ball type? As the lanes break down, can you switch to a less aggressive ball & stay basically where you had been playing?
I have the C+ drilled Rico according to the lane 1 drill sheet, but after a game or so it is too strong. I would like to get the same type roll(arc) with a less aggressive ball, but not sure if that would work.
I say it's too strong & I don't like the reaction when I have to move deeper because it'dull particle.
Your input would be appreciated!

Yes.  I can go down the line when the lanes change.  Usually Start out with the Solid G, then go to the C+, then Liberator....  

If it works for you great, but the RICO accourding to the Lane#1 drill sheet isn't quite the true RICO drilling.  But like I said, if it works why change.

Thanks Zeus. I know it's slightly different, but I bought the ball used off E-bay(Rudy Revs) & he had it drilled that way. The span is the same as mine, so left it as is except for pitch changes. It works great for me BTW,real smooth strong rolling, but not good for me to swing it.
I thought about possibly another one drilled exactly the same & just change the surface to higher grit or maybe polish for when the lanes start drying up. Still undecided.
