Ball help please
« on: July 30, 2003, 07:46:14 AM »
Okay everybody I am looking for a ball that will fit between my Pearl Cherry and Super Carbide.  I have a choice of one of the three used balls.  They are the Blue Solid Carbide, the Pearl Carbide, and the Black Raspberry.  So which of the three do you think would be the best choice.

Here are my stats:  Stroker, speed 14mph, average to maybe a little below average revs, axis around 45 deg.  Like I said above I am trying to fill the hole between the Pearl Cherry and Super Carbide to help complete my arsenal.  Let me know what you think.

TIA,
Bruce

Any of them will fit between those 2, if you want a resin reaction, the raspberry is the only choice, if u want a particle arcing reaction either of the others will do.

Bruce,

I have thrown all of the balls that you have mentioned.  Based on your stats I would recommend the Black Raspberry which will give you more versatility than the Solid Carbide and Pearl Carbide.  A polished BR can handle medium  to medium light conditions and a dulled BR can handle medium to medium heavy.
You will not see me on the PBA Tour, but I love the game!!!

I concur with Shaggy, on the Black Raspberry.
