Blueberry
« on: October 15, 2005, 08:02:56 AM »
I am having sooo much fun & success with my blueberry, I'm getting another one.
The one I am using has a 4" pin & 4.2 top. I laid it out about 4 1/2 x 4 with the pin above & just to the rt of ring. The one I'm getting has 3.9 top with just a 1 to 2" pin. I'm thinking of laying this one out stacked maybe 3 1/2 x 3 1/2. Should start up a little sooner with good strong roll. Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

it is really up to you Wayne and which layouts fit best for you

if it is me, I would drill it like I drilled the Tsunami since it is 1-2" pin and go with 12 clock label ... because I already have others drilled with 3-3/8 or 4 or 4-1/2 stacked and they cover the heavier oil

I would say the answer is what condition does the first one you have drilled doesn't cover that the second one can .. and go for it

Well, personally I would just pick any drill that suits a low pin and break out the sandpaper. lol. A light 1000 sand-up with surely give you an earlier start up with a strong roll. Funny thing about this particular ball....Ive thrown it with at least five different drills and found that its reaction is effected not so much by  drills but by coverstock preparations and lane conditions. lol. Specifically, what kind of pattern do you bowl on?

well curly I see you haven't given up on that thing yet huh? A great ball for sure, I am thinking the Tsunami is going to be my choice as I liked the polished BB, but thats me.  Now i have to get my wrist from killing me and then I can come back to town and show you boys something HA.

Thanks guys, I am thinking of keeping my original one with the longer pin polished, & the one with the shorter pin drilled to roll earlier & knock the shine off with about a 2000 or 4000 grit abralon. As long as it doesn't take too much off the backend move I'll like it. I need it to start up a little earlier & continue without rolling out.
