Crystal Diamond or Fire Ball XXXL
« on: September 25, 2006, 03:06:40 PM »
Is there any difference in the Crystal Diamond vs the Fire Ball XXXL?

I had a clear ball before, the storm soccer ball, and it cracked almost instantly.

Has anybody had any issues with cracking yet?

Thanks

no cracking issues that I have heard of yet.  the cyrstal clear diamond has a slightly smaller weight block then the red xxxl, I have been told although no confirmation that the shell of the clear is a tad harder too.  those two things combined should result in a slightly smaller movement (remember they are plastic) my red xxxl will flare every bit of 3+ inches on a THS, but is very very easy to control

I would have to agreee with the shell being harder.  Mine drilled exactly the same the red xxxl will hook a little bit if you really hit it or if they are super dry and the clear doesn't even think about hooking unless you slow it way down and rip on it.

So there both practically the same, but the crystal is more spare ball oriented as the red xxxl is more a very dry lane strike ball.

No problem with any cracking at all. Less movement with the Clear.

I have both and agree with the above.
I could not have said it better myself.
No cracks on mine!

... that'll be a nice change of pace
... to see a ball the goes straight
... and focus on spare shooting instead of strikes

... BTW: Mike shot a 299 with it drilled pin axis.

Well still couldn't decide so I ordered both of 'em. Lol

Talkd to the sales rep, Craig, and he recommended drilling the crystal pin axis.

Don't expect too much, and you will not be disappointted.
Food for thought:
He who throws with low revs will let loose with a straight ball up the outside! LOL!

Why do we need videos of a clear ball? Just the same as other clear balls, just with a core inside. Nothing really spectacular with the stats, just the ball itself is awesome.
