I drilled a SCB yesterday to use on a pattern that is pretty heavy from about 8 to 8 for something like 39 feet (taper). The idea was to find a way to play deeper in the oil and avoid the hard wet/dry at the oil line. Pin under bridge, CG out an inch (about a 45 degree layout). Turns out to be very "rolly" and do just what I had in mind, though I didn't have to get quite as deep as I anticipated. Stood on 31, laydown at 21, 11 at the arrows out to 9. Extremely hard roll thru the heads and mids with excellent recovery on the back. Plenty of punch to kick the corners unless I floated it a tad wide - then it would burn up in the drier outside and hit weakly. Shot 224 the first game, with 9 strikes (sheesh), then shot 221, clean. Put it away after the second game as I wanted to take a look at another ball. This is a new layout for me - for ages I tracked so high that I would never dream of putting a pin down in this fashion. The track did come back up to about 1/4" from the thumb at first, but seemed to lower a bit as I went on. So, all in all, I'm very pleased with the ball and drill (thanks T-GOD) and will probably keep this layout in mind for when I want something just roll up strongly on oil.
