Solid version of Dirty Bomb ?

What do you guys think ?
Will Lane #1 design a new ball with a solid reactive
coverstock combined with the Dirty Bomb's core ? They did this with
the Cherry Bombs and the Uraniums.

Hello all, I know what is coming when I say this but it is just a question.  I have never throw a I Lane 1 ball and it was only 2 frames so this is truely a question not a stab at Lane 1.  If there balls are so good, why do I keep seeing people asking when the next will be coming out or what it will be.  Now I know I am not speaking for all Lane 1 bowlers but I have seen it.  I will admit at some points I have been one of those guys that goes out and buys the ball of the week but I am not saying right after a bll comes out what will they make next.  Again I am not stabbing at Lane 1 if they work for you then more power to ya.  Again I am not trying to piis anyone off just asking.

Exactly. I've had great results with Lane#1 balls and love my Dirty Bomb. I believe that is what creates the excitement or desire for their latest and greatest. I think this is true with any ball company. If you have good results with their products then you are more likely to want to try their other products, new or old. I know I have tried numerous Storm balls and they did not really work out for me, so that caused me to lose interest in their newer products. I can only speak for myself, but since I love the reaction my Dirty Bomb, I can't wait to try a solid version.

Sorry I posted that in an existing thread I did'nt think.  That is a good point alot of companies just keep pushing out ball after ball after ball, and since I don't throw lane 1 I don't keep up with it much.  As of right now I am only a league bowler so I don't spend a ton on a ball when I get one, so Lane 1 is not my company.

I don't see Lane #1 as ball of the week company. I like Storm
equipment, but I could not catch up with them. They come out
with two new balls every two to three months from my
observation. That makes it 8 to 10 new balls this year alone,
compared to 4 from Lane #1 so far. As for my experience with
Lane #1 equipment, it seems that each new ball that comes
out is getting better than the previous one. I must admit
that the new Dirty Bomb hits harder than the Uranium
Solid, after trying both balls. This makes me wonder if a
new solid version of the Dirty Bomb will be much better.

I think Lane 1 needs to bring back the solid N-Control coverstock and wrap it around the Dirty Bomb core....THAT would be awesome.

Doug, you mentioned the N-Control solid coverstock. What
happens if the solid Radioactive is being used instead ?
Just like the Uranium Solid. Do this ball is going to be
much more aggressive compared to the Uranium Solid ?

I think the Solid Radioactive would be way too aggressive. I don't think thatthe DIrty's core design would be complemented favorably with the very aggressive Solid Radioactive coverstock.

Not that I base everything on the BTM review but they would seem to concur. If we look at BTM's review it says hook rating of 46 for the Dirty. The Pearl Uranium got a 44. So one could assume then that the Solid Dirty could be "2" stronger than the Solid U. If this is the case that puts the Solid Dirty at 56 which is only 1 off from the Super Carbide Bomb.

I just think it would be wayyy too much.

Remembering that the Uranium Solid is meant to handle much heavier volumes of oil than the Dirty Bomb, which is a pearl, are you using them on their intended oil patterns and amounts to draw this conclusion? If you're comparing them on the same pattern, then you're comparing apples and oranges. Just checking.

Doug,
I'd bet BTM was off on the Total Hook numbers for the Uranium pearl but was never called to task for it, like they were for the Solid. I find it hard to believe that the Uranium was only a 44 when the original Inferno pearl, with the same super low RG, around 2.45, was a 50.

I'd bet you're right on the money with the N'Control solid (like Command Zone Arc) and the Dirty Bomb core. Make a good amount of sense.
