Is it out of box surface because if so it does come highly polished and shouldn't be burning up unless the lanes are just way to dry.  I have slower speed and I never had mine roll out I even scuffed it down some so it would be earlier.  If it is box and its pretty highly polished you can try sanding to a higher grit and polishing but my guess if the lanes just aren't going to allow you to use that particular ball.  Sometimes you can't make a ball work if the lanes aren't condusive to it.

Triggerman,

Mine is also about an 800 matte or ruff buff finish. All I have seen around my neck of the woods look like that. If they are polished the owner did it. Sorry Jesse, you are right about not being able to make a ball work if the lanes are not condusive to it... Dang put it away and try another.

Too many guys who have talent in my opinion use a favorite wayyyyy tooo long. They switch and wham a good game but 5-10 frames too late. NEVER be afraid to change balls... Most time it helps you more than it hurts.

When I got my HDB it appeared to be polished, but not highly polished. The lane one sight says polished.

Hey guys, not changing mine. I LOVE the ruff buff. If I polished it would be more skid/flip... No thanks, got too many of those in the basement gathering DUST

Yes mine was definitely polished, "highly" maybe or maybe not but is was polished enough for me that is went as long as the pearl dirty i had drilled the same, i took my hybrid to 1000 smooth and i loved it.  It gave me perfect seperation between the two balls.  It is suppose to be polished but not all balls always come the same to everyone.

My daughter has one, that she loves incidently, & when it started getting a little tracked, I put it on the spinner. I finished it with 4000 grit abralon pad & it seems to work great. Strong roll with good move to the pocket with no skid flip. I have nearly all of my saws that came polished finished with the 4000 abralon. I like it a lot.
