Dirty Bomb surface questions ..
« on: January 25, 2006, 11:20:47 AM »
I just picked up a used pearl Dirty Bomb and I looking for a couple surface ideas. The ball right-now is semi polished.

The ball is drilled pin beside ring, cg almost stacked. I know the ball will give a nice snap off the dry with the right surface on it

What kinda surface prep would I be looking at for max flip off the dry ?

I got Brunswick High Gloss Polish and 3M Rubbing Compound (1500 grit), which one ? What grit should I start out with ?

I have 3M Rubbing Compound on my Absolute Inferno, i'd say, 400-600 grit with one coat of 3M Rubbing Compound.

will read like magic with a flatter release.
and if you can add some side roll... will float to the back and roll hard to the pins.

i made the mistake of using 2 coats of Rubbing Compound, and it floats too far.
