Well it seems like I just can't get a break. We bowled at 5:30 and we were on 1-2. Not a bad pair this year. BUT...................
We end up following a pair with (1) team bowling. 3 of them throwing plastic straight balls. The lady was throwing a Mickey Visaball backup. I don't mean up the left side either. I mean with back spin on it. LOL!!! I was thinking that this should make for more fun!!!
The pair was really tight. The plastic created hold but there was still OB. I sterted with my Liberator Urethane and was OK but felt I should throw something a little stronger so I switched to my THS. Had a nice reaction with that. A few bad shots resulting in splits and washouts and I ended up with 581...Threw it good I felt for 580....
Moved to the singles pair that had a full team and the doubles squad on it. This pair was broken down pretty decent. I started with my XL playing really deep. Started with a messenger that missed and then a 5 bagger with a good break in the 4th.. Ended up with 258 the first game in singles. Then bowled as good the 2nd and third game with 4-6-7 splits on doubles both games. Let up on the speed a shade and paid dearly for it. Shot 196 and 194 with 2 opens both games for 648 and a 1730's All events score. Very easily could have been 700+ if I could learn how to bowl again. LOL!!! My partner shot 672 in singles with a Buzzbomb I drilled for him. My BB's were just too strong for this broken down pattern.
A very humbling experience after averaging 240 back home on the THS and also sparking my desire to compete again on the Eastern Regional PBA and challenge my skills again. Sport bowling is a great challenge that I always enjoy. I can shoot 140 and still enjoy the challenge. It does not make me want to quit....It makes me want to practice!!!!!
Thanks for the great equipment Richie....It worked great!!! If only I can get sharp again to show what it really can do. I will be back!!!
