Hello all. I have never had a lane #1 ball and I have heard that their xxxl spare ball works really well on desert dry lanes and as a spare ball. I would just like to hear from the experts at lane #1 because this is what I am missing in my aresenal and I am in the market for a new spare ball. Thanks

best damn spare ball period, works extremely well on burnt up shots, I can and often times do use one on fresh house shot but you need the hand to do that. It is plastic and will slide in oil, but it has a great hit for being plastic

This is the best I've found for true dried out lanes, and shooting spares. Right now mine is on the shelf because I'm having pin issues with it.

love mine too! Although having one teaches not to force a ball on a condition. Wouldn't use it for a 1st ball on anything other than DRY. It is a EXCELLENT dry lane ball. I like to lay them out aggressive.

Thanks to all for the quick replies. I was looking at the red as you can no longer find the black and I don't think the clear would work for me. Too distracting. *laugh*
I think that is the route I am going to go with. Thanks again

I have the clear and love it. It's a great spare ball, and I've been using it as my strike ball on a third-shift shot. Replaced an ancient rubber ball with the crystal blue about three weeks ago, and have noticed that it mixes up the pins a lot more when using it as my strike ball. I've also found that when the condition is very over-under and my reactive stuff isn't doing the trick, I can take this ball out to the corner, go straighter, and get very good results.

I have a label drilled XXXL (same pin position as on my other balls) and this ball hooks even on the THS if I keep it out on the first 5 boards... this is a buff only area and the ball makes it tot the pocket.
I also had sometimes dry lanes and then I can play the XXXL like any reactive ball just one thing to mention.
Any oil there... it will skid and carry might suffer.
