Title: Drilling a 2nd G Force Evolution
Post by: c-hop on June 09, 2007, 11:55:21 AM
If i were to drill a 2nd evolution what layout should i use if i want less backend. My current Drill on my G Force is Pin under ring and on the g force drill sheet it says this gives the ball 7 out of 10 on flare and backend. I see the "Pro Pin High RG" has 2 flare and 5 backend. I would want my 2nd g force to not turn so hard off the dry and be much tamer. any help is aprecited. What TW and Pin Length shouldi get ? I have a 5 inch plus span if that matters

Suggestion:

Pin, CG/MB position with relation to the finger holes means less than NOTHING. In fact, it is a distraction and JUST PLAIN WRONG/. Stop the BS already!!

Tell/Reveal the distance of the pin and the CG/MB WITH RESPECT TO THE POSITION OF YOUR PAP.

My Personal favorite drill is RICO.  You won't see as strong of a backend reaction, but I would think you may see more overall hook more of a smoother arc.

IMO, I don't think I'd drill a 2nd EVO though.  If your looking for another ball, I'd suggest the Tsunami or the H2O..

Personally I think I'd go with a pin CLOSER to your PAP like 2" off your PAP with the mass bias below the thumb.

This will give you a long smooth arcing hook. The backend reaction will be strictly that of the resin coverstock and your rev rate on the dry boards.

Just an opinion....
