Drilling layout for the Solid Uranium
« on: October 29, 2004, 01:16:52 AM »
Hello,

I'm a new bowler with a measly 171 average.  I do not yet throw the ball with much hook or revs (14 - 16 mph)).  I guess you can say that I'm a beginner (down and in) bowler.  I stand on the 16 board and throw over the second arrow.  I ordered and recieved a 16lbs  Lane #1 Solid Uranium ball. How should a down and in bowler have this ball drill?  Thank you in advanced for your suggestions.

Without knowing more information I can give you only a ballpark idea.

Based on what you say I would put the pin above the ring finger and the cg just outside of the ring to thumb line. Yo uwill also most likely need to polish the ball unless you are encountering some strong oil and carrydown conditions.

The solid is a very aggressive ball that will hook as long as you do your part.
