Drilling Question?????
« on: October 18, 2006, 11:31:03 AM »
I'm picking up a Black Buzzsaw w/red lettering, fully plugged. What would be a good drilling on it for a broken down shot, since it's urethyane? I was just wanting some suggestions so I can plan ahead on where this will fit in.

I was thinking about pin over ring, cg swung out, and fine tune with a weight hole. Any thoughts?

I'm more of a stroker, with medium revs and medium speed. Thanks!

fatboy8 I have my XXL drilled up label and I love the reaction I get from it for a Urethane it rolls and hits vary hard on a broken down shot the XXL is the only lane1 that I ever had good luck with that layout though I dont know if its the layout and Urethane cover combination or what.

Almost forgot the first XXL I had was drilled up with pin above bridge and Cg swung right about 1 1/2 inches with a X-Hole on my pap it was alot stronger ball then the one I am currently throwing
Also dont know if the black Buzzsaw would be anything like the XXL, but I would think with them both being Urethane they would be quite similar

I have my Black Buzzsaw drilled up label like Rabiddog135, with the CG in the center of palm, but I kicked the pin a little more to the right of the ring finger, maybe an inch right and down, in belief that this would get me some more length.  Well, the ball is amazing.  It lets me play up the boards more than some of my other equipment.  I have a Pink Raspberry drilled up almost identical, but with a shorter pin, and it is a LOT stronger (I believe the Pink is a PK 18/Urethane mix, but I could be mistaken)

Fatboy, That particular buzzsaw is not urethane. It is PK18 resin & has a diamond weightblock with a centered mini diamond inside. If your broken down shot is playable from outside the 10 board, I would get it drilled pin axis. If you are not familiar with that drilling, you ball driller should be. That will give you a nice even roll with just enough on the backend for carry,(No giant flip) Ck out this link for your ball description.
