Surprised there's no talk around here about the new upcoming release from Lane #1.

2 things:

 

1. The word "Droid" is for intents and purposes trademarked by Lucas Films (Star Wars).

2. Either Lane 1 is going to be paying Lucas Films for the right to use the word (as the mobile phone companies have) or they will be served with a cease and desist letter by Lucas Films lawyers soon enough...

 

Either way, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Yes, I've been mentioning that on BBE, Facebook, and on Lane #1s website.  Seems to be getting ignored though.
