Dry Condition Ball Help
« on: April 01, 2008, 12:19:12 PM »
I am a med speed bowler with a 185 avg, mainly because I hook the ball too much when the lanes dry out on a THS. I throw the ball normally either anywhere from the 5 to the 10 board. I can swing it out if needed from 12 to 5 depending on ball and conditions, Or should I get any of the balls redrilled to be tamer. See my profile for current arsenal. I need help .

I was really hoping the Liberator would fit these need for me but it turned out allot stronger then I thought it would.  I'm thinking this is a true need Lane#1 needs to make a new ball to fit.   Everything coming out is just to strong, need a weaker cover.

I had really good luck with the HRG. If you need to go even weaker, you could go to a Bullet. The weakest would be a plastic XXXL if the lanes are really toasty! As an aside, you might like some of the "oldies" I have for sale...the original black buzzsaw, the purple buzzsaw, xl, xxl...any of those would be weaker than what you are currently throwing. Check the Lane#1 For Sale section!

Evo weak?????? Not in my hands. smooth off the BP?? yes. I have seen one weak but it had a pin axis drilling on it. So It would depend on the drill. My Hrg is a lot weaker....its drilled label.

None of your equiptment is even remotely for dry lanes! You can only do so much with drilling and surface.Get an XXXL and be done with it.On truly dry lanes, any reactive or urethane will be too much, imho.I have tried most of them!

think the main problem, is eveything he has in his arsenal is a heavy hooking ball. I know I can't even think of throwing those on lighter conditions. I think HRG or maybe even a XP with a weak drill...pin between the bridge?
