My Dynamo was drilled with a double thumb layout due to a long pin to cg marking and I only had about 15 games on the ball. I picked it up and was going to put it in the bag to go practice and noticed about a six inch crack from the balance hole running away from the thumb. I didn't notice it before, but the coverstock on the Dynamo is very thin. Its at least half as think as all of the other bowling balls I was able to check Mostly Storm)that had a balance hole. I have two Dynamos but I really liked the one that had the double thumb.

Was the balance hole beveled? Even though you don't use it to grip the ball, it needs to be beveled to prevent this from happening.

beveling the balance hole is a must, creates stress points if it isnt

this is my assesment.i had a buzzbomb and buzzbomb/r crack between the fingers and into the ball just sitting in my locker.buzzbomb was replaced by lane 1 but not the buzzbomb/r because its second drill but not near the first drill..this is the only balls i ever had this happen to.i think its the thin coverstock on them from global.not knocking anyone just giving my opinion.

Don't know why you would even bring this situation up to the general comunity as there is no doubt that Lane #1 will replace it, if I remember correctly you had a few buzzbombs replaced. I know I have had a buzzbomb replaced with something else because of cracking. I currently have a G force Neb that I absolutely love that I am trying to decide whether to try and fix or just throw it away. (I bought it used) These are the only 2 balls I have ever had crack out, from ANY company.

No buzzbomb cracked. I had a Blueberry crack and it was replaced without hesitation. If you know some of my posts, I always talk great things about Lane 1 customer service. I haven't decided whether to try and replace it or give Lane 1 a call. Just really wanted to know if others were having the same probelem and whether or not if it was due to a very thin coverstock. All my bowling balls are kept in the houise at room tempature about 75 degrees. This one was in the house for a couple of weeks when I decided to bring it to practice with me and noticed it had cracked.
