What statics are optimal for this week's plastic ball tournament?

I just have a curious insight on what the experts have to say on this topic.  What statics would be optimal for what type of player to use this week in the PBA Plastic Ball tournament to achieve the best hook shape and carry?

I vote for double inverted rico drillins.  must have 63/64ths thumbweight though.

From what DW told me. They are Ebonite Pancakes and are all PBA regulated. I would not be surprised if they were all drilled at static zero.

  Beans,

  Is it true about it being only pancake cores?  I certainly hope so.  Being the skeptical person I am, I figured they would max out the cores and put soft "bleeder" covers on them to make them almost as strong as a "normal" ball.

  I was planning on looking for the tale-tale flare pattern to see if it was there or not.

  If they truly are using "plain" plastic with pancake type, non-flaring cores, this will mean a lot more to me.

Those words were directly from Danny Wiseman's mouth.

300 PBA regulated balls for the tournament. The PTQ used regular equipment on Cheetah.

Ebomite made,pancakes all regulated by the PBA>

From what I hear they do get to make surface alterations. What do you think? 1 grit? just go out to the parking lot and grab a rock and just rub it all over the ball. That would be my move.

So the question remains: since they are pancake cores, static weights matter a whole lot. What will they be and Will many use the old leverage or axis drillings?

Apperantly some seem to think that they are using plastic on a normal volume PBA pattern as I see by the recommendations to alter the surface so some rediculously low grit.  The PBA is altering Cheetah so that plastic WILL HOOK regardless.  Maybe some are joking about it, or NOT, but the fact remains if you've ever bowled a plastic ball league or tournament the shot is altered.  Yes there will be some surface adjustments to scuff the ball up a bit, but I highly doubt there will be anyone throwing their plastic ball at 400 or less grit.

i heard Fagan's ball is at 1/2 side, and 1/64 finger.  and the surface is at 40,000 abralon

I just figured I'd post this topic since usually in these forums I see the first suggestion that comes out when someone that is looking for a specific reaction is the modification of static weights.  That being mainly from the buzzsaw group, Steven, T-God, Triggerman, Beansproshop, Dougs Pro Shop.  I was just wondering if when it came to 3-piece plastic what they or any other experts had an optimal set of statics to give that little extra edge.
