The Return of the Blueberry....
« on: November 30, 2003, 05:32:48 PM »
how many of you would love to here this? (Other than you Curly...) I mean seriously, as much as everyone talks about this ball, you'd think Mr. Buzzsaw would bring the ball back for a small minute or something. I mean, look at what Roto-Grip did with their SD-7. Folks raved about the ball so much, they brought the core back and put a different shell on the ball. (Not that I'm suggesting a different coverstock.)

Man, I'd love to be able to get one of these when I was able to. Anybody else feeling the same way too?

Hey,

A pearlized BB cover would be awesome, who knows what this awesome company will do next.

Blueberry-Yes.
Something other than a diamond core with dual stacked minis and a solid PK18 cover-No

While not being a Buzzsaw fan, I would find it interesting to see what would happen if a flip CAP was added to the end, instead of a mini-nugget.  Hell, for that matter, an added flip cap AND a Storm or Track coverstock.  Even I would be tempted to drill something like that.

i think the blueberry is one of the best saws made........wish i had bought a couple more now when they were available.....the cranberry that took its place is very weak in my opinion..hope the nugget is better!

T-GOD,
Yes, it does.  Would like to see it in a GOOD coverstock though.  One that doesn't have the signature "hooks at the arrows" of a Burnsqwick PowerKoil cover.  Even pearlizing that Burnsqwick coverstock doesnt help much.

Darren, the Bomb core, minus the nuggets goes pretty long before it hooks. If you're looking for a ball to go long and snap, when the conditions are right, this would probably work great. But, with a weaker cover, one that doesn't hook as early, you'll probably get a ton of over/under on normal conditions. =:^D

How about this to make everyone happy, let me throw a loop in here. Keep the versitle PowerKoil 18 coverstock, but add the SCB core with one raised or lowered mini nugget inside the BOMB core. Now I don't know what this would do...but it sure sounds purdy, um, I meant pretty. (Curly, purely suggestion...honest.)
