Enriched Mini-Review....
« on: December 27, 2005, 10:39:25 AM »
Well 1st of all this thing is a monster.

Spoke with Buzzman and he suggested drilling it the same as my Tsunami. That would be stacked.Ball felt pretty good in warm up.Started with my feet a few boards left of where I start with the Tsunami. So I was throwing 39 out over 20 and the thing was great.(This was fresh oil 39 ft on synthetics our normal house shot)
I only moved my feet 1 board left all night and never changed my mark.

I used the ER all night and kept my benchmark ball in the bag....

1st game 279 8 pin
2nd game 268 1(4)pin 1(9) pin
3rd game 248
Total....795....

As usual the staff at Lane #1 has done it again...Thanks guys...
Thanks Buzzman for the drilling suggestion....

Now if only that clear spare ball would appear the bag would be complete....

If you were thinking about getting one do it...

Yes, I bought the green bomb.  Great ball for most people, just over/undered me to death.  Great for a fresh shot for about 5 frames.  After that I had better be shooting a 9 pin tournament if I expected to score.

Well Inverted I have seen people in our center and in tournaments across the country that have purchased Lane #1 equipment and not liked it.They aren't for everybody.

It's not so much instant game in a box,if it's Ebonite or Storm or any other ball manufacturer it's still the nut using the equipment that has to make the shots. I was just letting people know that I liked the way this ball was working for a 1st time out.

I will be very curious how it works on a sport shot but can't find that out until Wednesday night.

Not that it matters much but I shot 765 the week b4 with my Tsunami....

And yes there have been Lane#1 balls I didn't care for the Cranberry was one that comes to mind...

ive found that these balls are for people that are flexible with their game with releases/revs speed.

if you're going to grind and force the ball with the same shot everytime.
dont get one, you're wasting money.

but if you want a ball to do what you want it to by rolling it different ways, then this ball company is for you.

ive also found that these balls react best with little axis tilt, they are rolly types of cores.

So, I'm confused. Why is it almost everytime someone buys a new buzzer that it's almost an instant "game in a box"? Has anyone bought a Lane#1 and NOT liked it?

Yup!!! I bought the Golden Nugget when it first came out and it fit that description well.
