Title: Enriched Uranium coverstock
Post by: KMUMPS on July 15, 2009, 09:45:28 PM: A friend just gave me an Enriched Uranium. I am wondering if anyone could tell me what was the out of box surface for this ball?

Post by: Steven on July 16, 2009, 04:13:40 PM: I found mine to have too much over/under OOB with the high gloss finish. When it was time to refresh the cover, I took it to 600 grit with a Green scotchbrite pad and then hit it with 3M Rubbing Compound. It's made the ball more usable across a wider range of medium conditions.

The cover is very adjustable depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

I have mine, one at 2000 Abralon and the other factory.

Yes it's particle, but very low load. It's nothing like the older SCB cover, which certainly was finished with 35 Micron Trizact. I'm not sure Trizact is a real requirement for the Enriched.
