Yes, the Bullet works well on dry lanes.  The XXXL is for when the lanes are even too dry for the Bullet, with me at least...hope this helps.

Either ball is very good for the dryer conditions...

the reason i ask is because the lanes are dry to the point you could look at the lanes and only see dirt, no oil just dirt from the belt marks and as soon as the ball hits wood or rather synethics a half of sec later its in the left gutter,no lie.

The XXXL also work good for light/med oil if the outsides and backends are bone.  The ball carries well and hooks like crazy.  In warm-ups my first few are usually slow - more than once I have swung the XXXL out to the five board and watched it roll in for the strike - on fresh.  Once I pick up speed I run it down between the five and ten and it does the rest.  The strikes sometimes look funny to me - more of a lined up and straight in shot than my big swinging Silver/C (and now my snapping LRG).

My XXXL is drilled label and does slide right through the oil.  I still have to be careful at tens.  A dry corner and the ball can steer away.

Actually the only thing I don't like about the XXXL is the oil that gets on my hands from the half dozen or so rings it comes back with.  My towel doesn't seem to get all the oil off.

The Silver/C is still the most amazing ball!

I have one drilled max leverage and on dry or torched lanes this thing kills!!!!!!!!! I've only gotten to throw it about a dozen games or so,but the lowest I've had with it on these lanes is  a 195 with a high of 257.

If the lanes are that dry, I would not waste my XXXL on them.  That being said, the XXX would be a great bal for the conditions, and if there were better conditions, the bullet.  Sounds to me that your house would never have enough oil for the Tsunami.  I will be getting another XXX, when the Clear version gets out.
