Planning new winter arsenal
« on: August 06, 2005, 01:54:26 PM »
Thought I would run this past you lane1 whiz kids & see what you think of my proposed line-up. I have not been doing as well with the bomb core as I had hoped & as I first thought. I think I have been getting inconsistent reactions & breakpoints(probably my fault) so I'm going back to the basic diamond & C cores & drill for more even & consistent roll.(Hopefully) These balls are new & right now I have 2 drilled, but haven't thrown them yet. I still need to get a bullet for dry, & I'll probably use it for 10 pin. Well here they are, not necessarily in order.

Buzzsaw/C super carbide--2" pin, drilled 3 1/2" stacked
Pearl buzzsaw/C carbide--4to5" pin, drilled pin over bridge, cg kicked right
Cranberry buzzsaw/C--3" pin, drlled 1:30 label
Cherry buzzsaw/C2--2 1/2" pin, drilled pin in ring stacked
H2O--3" pin drilled pin beside ring, locator just below & rt of thumb

In reserve:
Super carbide bomb --drilled
Pearl carbide bomb --drilled
Dirty bomb --drilled
Solid U on the way--3to 4 pin, 3to 4 top

My Dirty Hybrid Bomb is drilled 4.5x4.5 stacked...pin is at 2 o'clock just off the ring finger. Works very well for me (stroker) when that is the ball to use (most of the time on THS). I have noticed it to be a little too snappy on certain conditions. When that happens, I go to my storm xxxtreme (similar to Uranium Solid ?) to get a smoother arc.
