Original surface was approximately 600 grit (US)/1200 grit FEPA dull.

The surface you need depends on where you are going to use it. It's Brunswick's PK 18 solid so it will take anything you want to put on it, from 400 grit dull to the 4000 Abralon polished you had on it (small wonder it skated ).

If you want/need dull, try a 2000 Abralon pad left matte/dull.

If you want a polished finished, try a SB grey nylon pad and a light polish.

Go from there, up or down.
