Like everyone else has said, the new Massacre Blue Death is one awesome looking ball. I drilled my tester 5x3 just like my Red Death. I was finally able to use it some the other night and put about 2 games on it thus far. For me the Blue Death had easy length through the heads and a smooth but strong reaction in the Middle to Backend, I’d say a smoother overall reaction then both its older siblings (Red Death and Massacre). The Blue Death went further down the lane then the Red Death but not as far as the Massacre. The Blue Death didn’t have the backend snap of the Massacre, but had a similar overall movement of the Red Death. If you’re taking 3 balls to the lanes with you the Massacre, Red Death and Blue Death are gonna make a great 1-2-3 punch…

I'm not gonna argue with you.. LOL I do really like how it rolled nice and smooth without reading to early or real snappy on the backend, but still pleanty strong.. It was just the right mix..
Actually I'm dying to see what it'll due at another house I bowl at, but since I bowl at that house on Thursdays I didn't get the chance this week. That house tends to put out a little tougher house shot, and I'm hoping this ball is what I need for that house..

Perfect description Doug, our house is longish oil but most of the guys complain about the shot going fast (I dont see that for some reason but strokers, tweeners and crankers all complain) This ball allowed me to play all night, played the oil line and as that shot moved on me, I shifted 3 and 2 right and picked the speed up and was back in the pocket, cant wait for league again to give this ball another workout,

PAP 4 1/2 x 1/2 up
Guys, I'm getting one as an early Christmas present. Thinking about stacking it 4 1/2 pin to PAP x 3 1/2 cg to PAP. Pin will end up above and a bit right of ring finger. I bowl on 41' THS although I don't have the bumper on the outside. I'm looking for it to pick up late midlane with a strong hard arc to the pocket. What are your thoughts on this type layout for this ball? Thanks for your input.

CG out drills tend to be very angular while label drills tend to be more even.
I have an original Massacre that was 4x4 and the ball went dead straight. It was good on nothing other than toast.
I would suggest pin under the bridge which (based on your provided information) should give you a 4-1/2" pin to PAP measurement. As for the cg I would kick it right at a 45* angle from the pin and put the weighthole 6" from the grip center on the line from the grip center through the cg.
I think this will give you the reaction you are loking for.

65* x 5" x 40* Control - Smooth Continuous Hook(Rev dominant players and/or for lighter oil volumes)
35* x 4" x 25* - for a strong backend
80* x 3" x 45* - for a late Breakpoint
