No but it could be dangerous and hook off the display stand just by sitting there.

The Lane#1 trolls are a hoot. The same old '20% harder', '10% higher', '5 inches wider', 'ball of the year' jokes. This was all a little amusing at first, but don't you guys get tired of rehashing the same old material?

A little imagination, please.

Steven, may I call you Steve..

R U kidding us here...

Basically what you just said is exactly what most of those so called "trolls" have been saying about Lane One's HYPED UP ADS....<<< for like a zillion years

Do you ever read any of those ads...

You have the same job qualifications as our US Attorney General... Who never even bothered to read AZ. new law... Yet wants to file a suit against them...

If your in need of a job, call Obama, you're just the type he hires...

BUT, make sure you haven't paid ALL of your TAXES...

Cause if you have paid all of your TAXES...

Obama will not hire you...

and of course... "oh ya, like we're way out of line here"

thanks for making our day

"a little imagination please"   <<< way to go Stevie...

you beat all

The question was posed, because the people at lane#1 are almost fanatical about static weights and their effect on ball reactions.

Sooo, it seemed logical to me that if they made this "blems" with excessive top weights and markd them "for display only", then it wasn't a mistake after all IF you buy into that theory.

I'm just sayin'...

StrokeYourself: You know, you're right. I knew it would bring some of the underbelly of BR out of the cracks of the woodwork, but sometimes we all give into temptation. My bad.

Complete: Absolutely. I've been a long time L1 fanboy. I've never tried to hide it.

But I also throw a lot of relatively current non-Lane#1 equipment that is also very good. Several pieces from Columbia, Hammer and Ebonite. In fact, I'm fairly sure my non-Lane#1 arsenal exceeds the size and scope of that owned by our infamous BR Lane#1 trolls.

So yes. I'm a L1 fanboy with comparative experience. What a concept. Thanks for asking.

I think it''s the idea that you''re so quick to defend, especially not being on their payroll.  Something about Lane 1 in particular makes you seem to want to defend them more.  Do you really care what everyone else thinks about the ball company itself?  I dont see how you could answer no given you''re history of defending them, you''re actions suggest you do care, and a lot.

I''m not saying that''s what "I''m" saying, i''m saying a lot seem to have that thought process.

Quick to defend. LOL... The trolls have been running relatively free from interference over the past few months. That's interference from me or any other "L1 Fanboy". This was hardly a 'quick' kneejerk reaction.

On these boards, I tend to defend against baseless attacks that are born of ignorance, or worse, pure stupidity. Miscellaneous, Coverstock Prep, etc -- the forum and thread doesn't matter. I don't care about what certain people think as much as caring that accurate information, based on real world experience, is out there. There is a difference.

So if you are currently throwing Non-Lane 1 products then why do you think Lane 1 is so good? Why go out of your way to argue/insult/attack guys who do not like their equipment and think their marketing is b.s.?

For the record I am not one of them....just don't see the logic. L1 has been off the mark for years now imho. I have used many, and I still use one of their balls everytime I bowl. But I am not gonna run around here arguing with people about how great their stuff is. Every company puts out great stuff. From time to time one company or another has a breakthrough that puts them on top.

Brunswick with PK18, Storm with Reactor, currently I believe Hopkinsville is producing the best equipment. But the point is that L1's best asset ever was the cover they borrowed from another company. (PK18)

jmo though.

As I said, I like my non-Lane#1 stuff. The Columbia Swing series is very good. I particularly like the Momentum. I'm a big fan of the Rival series -- I have two drilled up with an Arch sitting in storage. The Hammer Black Widow series is a not miss. The Bite has been my favorite, and I have one of those sitting in storage. The Ebonite Mission is probably one of EBO's best releases in years.

Having said all this, I wouldn't trade the Dynamo or Dynamo X2 for any of the balls I mentioned. The comfort level difference is subtle, but there all the same. I recently shot two 300's in one league set with the X2. I followed that up the following week with a 278-279 with the X2. Not bad for a marginally skilled house hack. I've thrown enough Lane#1 where I know what I'm going to get when looking at a new release. Some I jump on, while others I'll pass. There is value in buying a ball without throwing darts.

Don't kid yourself. 99% of those who attack Lane#1 here have never thrown one, and maybe have never even seen one on the lanes. They expect to be insulted/attacked. It's part of being a troll. As far as marketing, anyone who takes Richie's ads for more than the humor that's intended needs some help.

No argument from me here if you've had some notable personal experience. If they're not your cup of tea, so be it. And if you'd rather argue with idiots on the Misc Non Bowling forum than on the Lane#1 forum, that's your choice too.

That's fine as far as who you think is producing the best equipment. Again, your experience/opinion and I'm not going to argue with that. I don't necessarily agree that L1's best asset was the Brunswick covers. I feel the 900 Global covers are at least as good, and for all the talk about PK18 and Activator, I've gotten better effective longevity out of the Global pours.

See, we just had a rational exchange about Lane#1 and competing products. Isn't it remarkable what can happen when trolling doesn't inject into the picture?

Back to the suject at hand.

Doesn't the excessive top weight on these balls make them undrillable because of the static weight issues?
