How do you like the reaction?  What drill layout?

Does anyone know how it compares to the Columbia Scout High Flare urethane?

harry, of course you're going to have to play more down and in with the ball. That's the purpose of urethane. Urethane will give you hold when resin won't. Same with plastic. Adjust the surface to get straighter if need be. Good luck. =:^D

I don't think a lot of bowlers realize how great a release this ball is.  A urethane ball with a high end core is a fantastic weapon to have when bowling on short, tough patterns.  This is the type of ball that can make certain tough patterns play easier!

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I called my pro shop guy and he's got one in stock.  I just need to go out there and pick it up.  I'm going with the pin above and a tad bit to the right of my ring finger which is about 4.5" from pap.  I'm still caught at a cross road on wether to use a balance hole in this ball or not?  I'm leaning towards noty using one but will place the CG to almost 1oz of side in case I want to add one later.

I will try and make it out to the pro shop next week to pick the ball up.  I will post a review on it after I get a chance to use it on my league shot.

I always prefer to not drill a 4th hole whenever possible.  That way, if you need to fine tune your reaction after throwing it some, you can.

I got a chance to roll my Liberator last night.  It was on a THS with a lot of oil on the lanes.  A women's league already bowled on the lanes but there was a ton of oil.  So I didn't get a chance to roll it more than about 5 frames.  However, I did make sure to roll it outside into the dry to get a read of how the ball works.

The Liberator does have a strong hook when it hit's the dry boards.  This ball also has plenty of hitting power.  Oil is this balls worst nitemare as to be expected.  Since the lanes had so much oil I decided to put the Liberator in the bag but was able to see how the ball reacted when it hit friction outside.

I will post a review of this ball when i'm able to use it on the correct pattern.  Mine is drilled with the pin above the ring 5" from pap, CG kicked right to almost 1oz and no balance hole.  Ball is in it's box surface.

I really would like to have a urethane ball in my arsenal.  I have a GTB from back in the day, but it is 16lbs.  I was tracking a Blue Angle on Ebay, but it went for $100 plus shipping.  If I am going to spend new ball money, I think I want a new ball.

I think I would like to buff/shine it some.  Use it when the lanes get ugly or toasty.  I think it could be nice on Cheetah on bad wood.

I personaly feel all tourney bowlers should have a urethane ball.  I also think if you bowl on a PBA, Sport or tough lane patterns type of league, urethane is a plus to have.

I think urethane has plenty of use on today's patterns.  Years ago it was heavy oil that made lanes tough.  Now a days it short oil and dry lanes that are tough to bowl on.

If you get a chance to grab a urethane ball do it!  The Liberator is very appealing because it's urethane and has a high end core!

I will post a solid review of this ball when i'm able to use it on some different conditions.
