Add it to your signature and pledge your allegiance to the greatest company ever made.  Then should you feel the need post in our forum as long as its useful and not disruptive.  If you have a good knowledge share if with whomever might need it.  Otherwise just enjoy the best equipment money can buy and welcome to our order.

Thanks JPRLane1

Lane 1 balls are pretty awesome!!! started bowling with them Nov 2004 my average at the time was a lowly 170 right now after 6 weeks of our winter league season I'm carrying a 195 average.  I have the new TSunami coming in the mail this week....can't wait to get my hands on that beauty.

ANyone else out there sick and tired of hearing how expensive Buzzsaws are? I have sold 4 Tsunamis online here for $210 drilled and shipped.

How many people out here see that price on X Factors and Infernos in their local shops?

Send me your specs and I'll hook you up with the next Saw out for a VERY reasonable price..

hell Doug, my(former) shop up here had an Icon at $210, without drilling. And that was not long ago..but long after they stopped making that ball.

Shamless plug for Doug....highly recommend checking him out...won't be disappointed.

Double side note: Sorry about the H20 Doug, I still want it, I haven't had time to list my stuff to get the cash for it. Wife backed out on our agreement...needless to say I am working on it!

When you decide to post actual humor, we will laugh with you. Insults and demeaning comments aren’t humor; they are posted for the sole purpose of eliciting an angry response, and making the poster feel bigger by belittling others. Bowling is a gentlemen’s sport, built on respect and sportsmanship. To get respect from other bowlers, you must treat other bowlers with respect. Just because your choice in Ball manufacturers doesn’t include Lane #1, doesn’t mean that other bowlers aren’t happy with their Lane #1 equipment. I truly hope that you are as happy with the equipment and brands that you have selected as I am with my Lane #1 gear.

As for cost, I hear the cost argument all the time, and it is over exaggerated by the Lane #1 bashers. An argument is always easier to win when comparing one companies full suggested retail price with used price.

I am not attempting to sell anyone on a ball they can not afford, but I would point out to potential new Lane #1 users, that the risk they take in testing a Lane #1 ball really isn't any greater than any other high-end ball. The initial cost of the ball may be slightly higher, but any new ball also requires about $20 in shipping and $40-$60 in drilling and inserts. Thus the $20-$40 you save by not buying a Lane #1 is probably less than 10%-15% of the final cost, and since the resale value of used Lane #1 balls is generally higher than other brands, much of that cost is recoverable when or if you decide to resell the ball and buy a new one. I wouldn't recommend that any buyer skip over a ball they want to try just to save 10%-15%, a year down the road you may kick yourself for being so foolish.

Lane #1, like any smaller ball company, is limited in its ability to mass market low and medium range bowling balls. One of the reasons I like Lane #1 is that they don't offer 50-60 different bowling balls, which often are essentially the same ball in a different color. Each Lane #1 ball is a distinctive ball, in it's own niche as it relates to cover stock and behavior.

I am not knocking Columbia, Brunswick or any of the other big manufacturers, there is a market for low and medium range balls and they should and do fill a need for these customers.

Just for arguments sake I took a price survey at a typical online seller. I collected the price ranges for each company’s top of the line balls. Notice that the price ranges are only slightly less than Lane #1 and these prices don't account for shipping, drilling and the higher resale value of the Lane #1 balls.

Lane #1
$150-$190

Columbia:
$135-$170

Ebonite
$135-$145

Roto Grip
$125-$140

Track
$140-$150

Storm
$140-$160

MoRich
$145-$155

That's $10 less than my Pro Shop Charges. She charges $220 drilled, for premium balls such as Legends, Lane Masters, Brunswick premium lines, etc., Track premium lines, etc.

Well, it starts without too much fanfare... you see someone toss a saw,
you try one out, then you get one, then another, and another, and another...
pretty soon you have a bag full of saws....

...next the FOS sig...then the FOS T-Shirt....

Sorry if I allowed my response to drift off target from your original post. I know better than to feed the trolls. I was simply pointing out that the cost associated with trying a Lane #1 ball is probably less than 10%-15% higher than an equivalent high end ball from another manufacturer, not 25% as had been stated.

I wish you luck with your new ball selection. If you have any questions, the members of the F.O.S. are an excellent resource for information.

It is clear to me that I have hurt your feelings, and for that I appologize. I used the word troll to denote an individual who posts a message for the purpose of creating controversy and eliciting an iritated response to the content. Based upon your choice selection of words to insult me, you obviously felt that your message didn't fit into that category, so I am sorry you were so upset by my usage of the word.

As to the topic of a profile, I took the time to review your profile, and found it to be quite detailed and your bowling accomplishment are worthy of note. I was intending put one together at some point, I simply hadn't gotten around to it. I will eventually find the time to compose something, though I don't think that type of information is generally relavent to these discussions, so long as the debate is kept on an adult level and backed up with logic and facts.

Triggerman, I guess this is a little off topic, but who cares! It sounds like you & I are having the same experience with the bomb cores right now. The past 3 weeks I've had a couple 630's, a couple 680's, & a couple 700's all with the diamond cores & variations of same. I did have a 279 with my pearl carbide bomb, but it's so flippy I have trouble being consistent with it. Did I tell you, it looks like I'll be getting a solid U pretty quick?

Inverted 1, don't make me come up there!

Got my fisrt saw last night (Tsunami h2o).  Thanks Doug!!  I'll let you know how things are once I get to throw it.  Now back to the post.  There it was in all its glory ready to rip the sh*t outta the pins.  Can't wait to see the owners face when he's replacing the pins.  But he'll be able to use the old ones as mulch in his garden, or around the bowling center for landscaping lol.  Don't want to hijack the post, but just wanted to say that for years I wanted to throw Lane 1 but complained about the $$ not anymore.  If this one works well I'll be weeding out all the stuff in my bag.

Triggerman:

I have experienced similar behavior out of my Cherry Bomb, I wouldn't say its too flippy, but it is a little speed sensitive. I have to be really careful not to lift my backswing with it, as the speed variation is more noticeable with this ball. I do love throwing it though and I find I can us it easily from light to medium oil.

Inverted:

would you feel better if I called you a couple profane names. Would that make you feel like I was not on such a "high horse". I recommend you switch to decaf and try to relax a little, your getting pretty worked up over this, and I don't want to be responsible for causing you to have a stroke. As to how high another person's horse appears to be, it all depends on your vantage point.

I'm afraid that to wear that shoe, I would need you to remove it from your foot first.

As far as taking ones self to seriously, I'm not to the one who injected profanity into this discussion.  I also didn't refer to you as a troll until you chose to take a personal stab at me just because I felt your original posting was a little harsh. I felt your humor was a bit uncalled for because you chose to be derogatory to the fine people who choose to throw Lane #1, and are dedicated to the brand.

Taking ones self to seriously would, however, fit well with a person who gets angry and makes personal attacks on someone else, simply because the other person, doesn't find their humor to be appropriate. You have made no effort to discuss Lane #1 bowling balls or the F.O.S. with me, and had you done so you would have already realized that I am not a mouthpiece for Lane #1. I have never in any of my postings disparaged another Ball Company, nor have I belittled another bowler for their choice of balls or brands. I love my Lane #1 gear and it fits my game very well, however, I have always advocated that other bowlers select the balls and brands that fit their own personal style, budget and game.

It is disappointing, that we could have had a spirited discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of Buzzsaws, but that opportunity has been lost in your efforts to drag me into a personal insult match. I am sorry, if you are frustrated, that I have not chose to sink to the sophomoric level of throwing profane insults back and forth, but I really have nothing against you. I have in fact enjoyed the volley of posts back and forth and have found your posts to quite amusing.

Thus, I still wish you, no ill will and a good evening.

You can't be serious, your entire reaction to my original posting, was based on my offhand usage of the word "WE" in my first post. You accused me of not reading the entirety of your posts, which I assure you I have, and yet you fixated on the word "WE" in my first post and completely missed the point I was making.  Further more, you have extend your fixation with the word "WE" to interpret it as a claim of formal representation of the entire F.O.S. and Lane #1, that is completely ridiculous.

In the future I recommend that you read the posts through completely and try to grasp the intent and point the writer is making, before you start trying to argue over the choice of particular words.

I will try to simplify the context of my future posts, to make that easier for you.
