Golden Nugget Finally.....
« on: December 09, 2003, 03:01:19 AM »
I finally got my Golden Nugget yesterday. It came with about a 4 inch pin and little extra top weight so the 5 x 3.5 drilling I was planning, turned into a 4 x 3.5 with pin above the ring finger. I purchased this ball to combat some of the carrydown and over/under conditions that I see regularly. This fit right into my arsenal and does just that. I started with my original green Bomb and played 17 to 7 for approximately 3 games. My buddy was playing a little deeper with his Bomb and Cherry Bomb so we were pushing the oil rapidly. When the Bomb wouldn't get through the midlane, I threw my Blueberyy for about a game moving a little deeper. Then I took out my Cherry Bomb and moved back right to about 15 to 5 and found exactly what I was looking for oddly.....carrydown and alot of it. The Cherry Bomb would clear the heads and midlane but would not finish strong because of the carrydown (On fresh backends, it finishes great). Time for the Golden Nugget. Threw the 15 to 5 line and it never hsitated through the carrydown for the 3 games I threw it. First 7 left 10 in the pit before I moved in intentionally and played 20-8, after all it is practice. Nugget screamed back but low an behold, my friend and yours, Mr. Ten Pin. That's okay though. Changed hand position and a little more rev and finished 279. This ball is a great ball for my aresenal. I am glad I waited. Thanks for the insight Clump and all of your personal input.
