Need some input here. I have thrown my NG in 2 different
houses with synthetic lanes in them and I cannot get it to
finish like on wood. Is it me and my speed or is it the ball?
ball is set up pin under ring and cg swung out. probably like
a 5x3 or something pretty close.
When I slow it down I can get it to set up to the pocket
but it still seems to not hit as well on these lanes. I don't
know what the oil pattern was but I had NO problem swinging
my Viper from 7 to 3 to the pocket. I am kinda stumped. I absolutely
Love this ball on wood.
HELP!!!!!!! I want to know if it is my imagination or what.

Sounds like it is burning up to me. Have you shined it all. I have tried mine box, Shiny, and cerium oxide scuffed. I have noticed that my GN does roll out when it is scuffed. When I shined it up, it was more skid snappy, but I found that I had some overlap with the Uranium. Hope this helps.

box finish. they may have been fried today but definitely
not the 1st set I threw on synthetics. Fresh shot with
only 2 games bowled on them.

So when you say "not finishing" you mean, its doing more of an arc to the pocket right? My x-factor is the same way, the only way to get it to skid/snap is high revs and low speed, wich is hard to control, so I would have to say shoot more down and in?

15 years and still going strong! 15 years old that is!
The names Warrior Princess, Xena..Warrior Princess
AM not A CHICK OF BOWLING but I wanted to be in Manda's clique
And why would I "saw" pins in half, THATS A WASTE OF PINS! I'd rather blow it over with my storm, and 21mph ball speed on dry shots.

was standing on center dot throwing 12-9, a small tight
arc. and hitting the 3 pin SOLID!

It is likely lane-condition specific as well. Are you changing not only to a different surface (synthetics) but also a larger amount of conditioner? A 5x3 drill is more hook-set (albeit a later one) than skid-flip, so I wouldn't expect a big back end unless the ball is otherwise geared (such as by polishing or hand-position for more axis tilt) to go long before it rolls up.
Have you noticed any difference from game to game on the synthetics? Does the ball seem to finish even more weakly in the 2nd and 3rd game? If so, you may be bowling on a heavy pattern and getting carrydown. Are you bowling first shift or second shift? Second shift might indicate even more carrydown or it could mean the backends are fried and the ball is dying at 40 feet and hitting the pocket flat.
