I see that Michael Haugen Jr. has made it into the Round of 8.  Anyone know if he's using Saws this week?  Maybe we'll see some Saws on the show !  Take care....JS

I thought he threw Visionary stuff. My Gryphon was actually a ball that he traded to my shop for a Quantum.

Undoubtedly the best bowler to ever come out of Sequoia Lanes. Maybe that's why they tore it down.

Uses both and anything that will help him win.  He's an independent.

Won't see Michael.   Mika Koivuniemi beat him in the round of 8.  To bad.

Unfortunately not, Horan is the wildcard because he was the higher seed after the qualifying. BTW, I think this is a much better way of determining the wildcard.

I know Barnes is bowling Duke, so Mika will be in the championship match against PROBABLY Duke, and I'm predicting a win for the Big Fin unless something goes wrong.

Actually, Barnes plays Horan in the wildcard match.  The winner of that match then plays Duke.  Mika and Scroggins face off in the other semi-final.

Not to change the subject, or get into the left-right thing again, but they must have changed the shot after the first round, where the lefties were nowhere to be found.  Suddenly, there were about a half-dozen portsiders going into match play.

Anyway, back to topic.  Greg Hoppe reported in a Big B forum post that Haugen was using both Saws and Brunswick stuff this week.

I think we'll see Haugen win his first title this year.  He's definitely knocking on the door!

They had the standings wrong again.  When I left last night, they had Duke bowling Barnes, and Mika waiting on the winner of the Scroggins/Horan match.  They did it all weekend, they'd put up banners for the round of 16 and 8 over the lanes where the pros were supposed to be, and when the official placement came out, it was always different and they had to move the banners.  I don't know why the heck they do that.  But ANYWAY, Hamster was RIGHT about a Mika vs. Duke championship match.  And I'm still predicting a win for Mika.
