Found out that Lane 1 IS reintroducing the Blueberry, HOWEVER, it will either be a pearl or particle pearl coverstock.  Hey!!  Damn cat, get back here . .

What Brunswick ball has a pearl particel coverstock?

I'm feeling the urge to try another Lane 1 ball and I really want a pearl particle coverstock in my bag. I can get a two for one here.

I hope it is particle pearl, because just a regular pearl would make it too close to the Emerald.

Hmmm, interesting. I guess thats good news? Personally, I would like to see it return in its true form(dual stacked core with PK18 cover). Honestly, I despise pearl balls. I have never seen or rolled one that had a good consistent reaction(their XL included). I am sure they work for a lot of people but not me. Whats the deal with trying to make the BB stronger anyway? Riot Zone and the Raging Inferno. I think there were one or two more but I can't recall right now.

Excellent point Curley. I stand beside you, although I would still like to see a particle pearl.

Pro Purple's a solid.  And hey, this might be an idea for people to throw at clump for the ball reviews made ball.  Particle pearl coverstock.

I am fairly certain that the Pro Purple Buzzsaw was marketed as a particle pearl and had the same coverstock as the Brunswick Riot Zone. I have both of these balls.
Also see the bowling ball reviews listing for the Pro Purple:

Really?  Neither of those seem like particle pearls.  I'd have thought that they were both either particle or solid.  My mistake.

Believe me it is an understandable mistake; when I first saw the Pro Purple, my reaction was "they gotta be kidding to call this a pearl". However, if you throw it and the RZ with the same drilling, your eyes will light up as you see how a core can affect and control a cover; that was amazing. The RZ had more length and a HUGE backend, but both were smooth as silk. I never used the RZ on a regular basis as it's the biggest hooking ball I ever owned and I never got comfortable throwing that much ball. Maybe I should have ....
