Holy Grail of Lane #1 balls?
« on: March 22, 2005, 02:24:19 PM »
So I am interested in everyone's opinion; which ball in the history of Lane #1 would be considered the Holy Grail of Buzzsaws?  I mean, one you would (almost) trade your bowling arm for!  Obviously it would have to be one of the hard-to-find balls from several years ago.  It seems to me the toughest ones to find are the Pink Raspberry and the Pro Purple.  What is the general consensus?

The Silver I was referring to is one I just picked up, single drill, with only 20 games on in, so I'm hoping it is amazing like I've heard in the past.

I have to second Michelle's Cherry Pearl C2. I got mine as a single drill with unknown games from Doug. I have been using it for the last yeear and a half. I shot my first honor score with it (299) the first week of league this year. I just have to make sure it stays nice and shiny. If it starts to dull up from use, it will out hook my BCB on our medium condition.

Did Lane#1 ever produce a solid reactive with the dual-stacked  but separated mini-diamonds that is in the Cherry Pearl? If so, I wouldn't mind getting one of those. I would like to find a NIB Cherry Pearl in 15 lbs. to replace thisone when it finally wears out.

For me, the Blueberry Buzzsaw. This ball can be adjusted to work on just about any condition (for me), except very dry.

Hands down for me...I love my Emerald.

They need a similar such ball back in their line up..could be drilled aggressive for medium or lay it out weak for teh dry....man I miss mine...

oh wait.....I have one NIB !!!! Now just need a drill pattern :-) Don;t want to waste this one.

"IF" I could have no other ball and was forced to use a Lane 1 ball as my only ball, it would be the Emerald...

I just found an original black buzzsaw, 15 lbs. on the house ball rack.  It was in decent shape so I took it and resurfaced it.  It fits my hand too. Haven't had a chance to throw it yet.

I just sold my NIB Silver and NIB Emerald for $400 last week. I still have a NIB! Teal,Black/C,Black raspberry,Blueberries,Cherry Pearl and Pro purples. Just drilled my last original Purple a few months ago......In my opinion, The Black Raspberry and the Pink were the best of all time. Beans

the raspberries are certainly bench mark balls, but i think you have to also look at the pro purple and the silver too.....
