Hot water bath

Anybody ever try this on their Lane 1 equipement. My Tsunami is not what it used to be and I was thinking about trying this. I am a little nervous though.

A friend at Lane #1 forum suggested instead a corrugated box and a hair dryer for an instant Home Rejuvenator Machine.

I assume you mean place the ball in the box and then heat the ball with the hair dryer? Box will probably absorb the oil.

NO HEAT!= My Opinion take it for what you will.

I don't know what box finish is on a tsunami but i have resurfaced mine twice and twice it has been exactly like it was when I first threw it.  I sand to 500 grt then 1000 grit then i polich with Ebonites Extender polish and its as good as new.  I would try this before you do anything heat/oil wise.

I know you have a ton of Buzzsaws JPR, but Lane1 does use Brunswick covers, and they recommend heat to extract the oil.  Hot water in a bucket with a little Dawn seems to be safe and effective.  I wouldn't try the oven or dishwasher method though.  Maybe find a shop that has a rejuvinator?

I use the hot water method. but about once a season they hit the oven for 20 minutes on warm....never had one crack

A light wetsand then some polish with rubbing compound should bring this ball back to life. A couple of minutes in a Lustre Kleen machine, after a light wetsand, should also do the trick. =:^D

Like Roy said, The hairdryer in the box works well, Also the hot Water in the sink with some dish soap works well, This is part of my regular maintenance on mine and my boys buzzsaws, Between both of us we have over 15 balls and they hit the sink on a regular basis, The bruns covers can take more heat then the ebo's and columbia because of a thicker coverstock, The oven on warm also works and never have had a problem with any of them....Retro
