I drilled mine stacked (for you purist out there pap over 5 up 0, the stacked layour resulted in a pin to pap of 4.5" with a drilling angle of 60*, the angle to val was 25* resulting in a near stacked drill) pin ended up slight right and above my ring finger  I started witha  4" pin ball 3.25 of top

this drilling provides plenty of length, even in box, with a hard continuation on the back, very nasty looking sharp left turn. for the second set i polished slightly  (less then 1 min a side with ebo powerhouse) added more length and a stronger move off the dry.  I finally settled on about 2k-2.5k on the finish with ebo powerhosue.  even tho it looks like a marble it makes the turn when my xp is headed for the 6 pin, incrediblly strong hard move.  I can play this ball on most house shots with as much hand and speed as I want, I can fluff it across 25 to the 3 and come back or i can sling it with speed and revs across 20 to the 7 and kill the pocket

I am getting two of them.

I will leave one in OOB surface (or maybe even dull it up some) and drill it pin in grip center, CG out (aka: RICO). I know it is going to be super early and rolly, but that is what I am looking for out of this one.

The second will be a longer pin. I will polish this one up, and drill it pin over ring (4.5" from PAP), CG slightly out 75 degrees (PAP-pin-CG angle). I expect this one to be a beast on the THS.

Jon:
Polished, right now I have seen no better ball on the market, in my leagues i see the latest and greatest and the BB just flat out does it better.  Watched guys last night lose carry go to different ball, I moved 7 boards with feet and 4 boards at my mark all night, granted i did not shoot a monster score but was very consistent given the spotty pattern out 202-223-226 with two opens in the middle game, one makeable spare and one split

I am glad this question came up, because I have a Buzzbomb coming and I am completely stumped on how i want to drill it.

I have a Big Bang that is my current oil ball, but it is drilled a little tame, 4 1/2 by 4 5/8 going off my own measurments from my house. never had it drilled using PAP when i got it. i keep it polished and Is a good Med-Heavy ball.

I would like to drill the Buzzbomb, which might be a stronger ball even with a tamer drill than even the Big bang stronger overall, while not making it a ballk that I will Never get to use, still want versatility out of it. The house I bowl at has a much flatter longer pattern than I see at other leagues, With my Big Bang starting the night off I have to play up the 8 board, you can't swing the ball much the first game, until a track gets burnt in. You don't see many high scores at our hosue, notoriously hard.

Anyway I have heard that Lane 1 balls are sorta drill specific, and I don't want to screw this up. Any suggestions would be great.

PAP 5 5/8, 3/4 up. High tracker, 16-18mPH, med to high revs.

What would the difference in reaction be with a Rico drill versus a stacked one? Medium speed, medium revs, track flare starts about 1 inch or so from thumb, PAP 5 1/8 over, 1 1/2 up.

Rico will roll sooner, and be less angular off the break.

Disclaimer: I have not seen one of these drilled or thrown with a Rico drill yet. It may limit the ball to very heavy oil use. This is what I am looking for in mine

Is CG out more of an offset stacked layout to give a little more control on the backend?

I'm torn between a stacked layout(4X4 pin over the ring) and a CG out(4x3 pin under the ring).

Thanks
