Dirty Bomb Pearl: should I drill it to compliment my Hybrid?
« on: January 13, 2007, 10:38:25 AM »
I am asking for some subjective opinions based on your own experience, since I've only seen one of these thrown by a robo-arm righty.

I picked up a Pearl Dirty Bomb (thanks, Crazyyankee!) and I am currently considering how I want to lay this ball out. I understand that the pearl version is somewhat long and more angular in its move... I have included a picture of my HDB.

I am considering another pin leverage drill similar to this, and using the two together. As it stands this is one of my favorite drills, since it gives me a very consistent strong move downlane. Thoughts?

Brunswick and Lane #1: there is no other. Well... maybe a few Storms... and a One. Did I mention Roto Grip yet?

I think you have the right idea.  Duplicate that layout as closely as possible on your Pearl and you will definitely be able to cover most conditions.  My Dirty Bomb was drilled very similar to your Hybrid.  It didn't have the CG out as far; it was closer to stacked, but still out.  I loved mine and I think it will make you happy.

Also, since you asked for a subjective opinion, I feel that the CG out layouts work better on the Bomb core balls.  That has been my experience, at least.
