since no one wants or seems able to give frank his answer, I will try to give you a good comparison of the liberator vs the chainsaw
first and foremost out of box
liberator dull, sanded urethane
Chainsaw, polished solid reactive
liberator out of box, it is urethane so it does indeed show that classic urethane move in the mids, wants to start but urethane lacks that reactive portion and as beans said will lay off on the back, just like most urethane solid balls do
Chainsaw is long and saves it all for the backend, very smooth roll tho, and kits fantastic, not an oil ball by any means but those with hand can def hit on it and get some movement
comparison of users, I have seen 3 individuals with different styles throw these two balls (no leftys sorry Frank)
first guy, high rev low speed guy, the libby was too much, surface for him was brought up to 4k abralon and then polished to a mirror like finish, ball still wants to start early and roll out, nature of the urethane, chainsaw, gave him more the look he wanted, out of box it hit the shot for him (this guy typically throws plastic by the end of the night)
guy two, tweener, 16 mph libby for him is also polished, gets a good downlane read, and works very well on spotty lanes, the urethane smooths out the over under, but the chainsaw is for him a much much better ball, it gets length and has plenty of backend movement something he doesnt see on the libby
guy 3 is a power player, 17 mph 400 revs libby for him just lays off, no matter the surface, ball is money on a fresh shot, but a used up shot, has nothing left, the chainsaw for him comes back from virtually anywhere on med to med dry shots, one of his favorite balls
me personally, i have thrown several different urethane balls from just about everyone, IE gyros, hammers, columbia, and lane 1. they all seem to have the same distinct roll, and same distinct movement on the back, the exception to this was th xxl from lane 1 (pearl urethane) it had great lenght and moved more like a weak resin ball the biggest advantage i saw from any one ball was the hit of the buzzsaw, it seemed to me to take the corners out easier, but still had the look of holding off on the backend, fresh was pretty much the only place i could throw it, that and pba patterns where control was the name of the game
I much prefer the chainsaw to any of those urethane balls, except may be the XXL
