How old is Lane #1

My last ball before giving up bowling for a while was a Teal Rhino.
In those days, I was not into the technical aspect of bowling one bit.
I do not recall seeing Lane#1 then.
When did they get into the bowling ball business?
Was the first ball a success, or did it take a few to produce a gem (or should I say, a DIAMOND?).

Hmmm If I remmebr 1st saw I see was like 94 or 95! Can't remember All I knows is a bit cheaper than Q Balls

I remember seeing lane #1 ads back in 1991!!! Not for a ball though but for the gravity balance system, they included some glowing endorsments from messers Monacelli, Ozio and M. Williams

Does anyone know if Ritchie actually started the company on his own, or did he originally have a partner (or several)?  Just wondering as an acquaintance of mine claims he was originally a partner...
