How should I drill my Dirty Bomb?
« on: July 13, 2005, 01:53:04 AM »
Hey everyone,

I just picked up a NIB Dirty Bomb from Triggerman (a great seller and a very nice guy), but I'm not sure how I want to drill it. Here's my current arsenal:

Flood: Real Deal (Dull)
Heavy: Real Deal (slight shine)
Med-Heavy: Ult. Inferno (Shined)
Medium: Abs. Inferno
Medium w/carrydown: Blade Reactive
Medium: Blade Pearl (Just too good to get rid of!)
Med-light: Blazing Inferno
Spares: Target Zone

I'm thinking that I'd like the DB to go around the same slot as the Absolute,  but to give me a more angular look. What do you guys think of that plan? If you like it, how would you drill it in order to do so? If you don't think that's a good idea, what would you suggest?

Just to give you the heads up, I have above average speed, average to maybe slightly above average revs and a very high track. The ball has a 4.5" pin and top of around 3.2 oz. Thanks for the help!

I can't bowl 300, but I can bench 345 : )

I suggest going Pin above ring 1 to 1.5 inches and cg kicked right of pin one inch no x-hole.  Depending on your absolute drill and surface the dirty will more than likely be longer and stronger because of the core of the dirty and the box finish on it.  Good luck with it a great ball and my most used ball along with the hybrid dirty.
