How to drill these Lane#1?

Ok guys I have to admit I know nothing about drilling balls, and I don't think my proshop guy knows anything about lane 1. That being said I have a Dirty Bomb and a Hybrid Dirty Bomb both with 3 inch pins. I want the dirty bomb to have a controllable arc on medium lanes. I want the hybrid to work on lanes with tons of carrydown and a heavy oil pattern. The hybrid I'm looking for more of a snap. Oh yeah theyre 15, thanks if any one has any layout ideas.

your drill sheet shows how to find the CG on the bomb cores.... MAKE HIM DO IT. and then punch the CG. drill accordingly: the cores are drill-friendly.

stjosephkid, First off find a pro shop that is capable of drilling and can also explain and give you suggestions. I don't know where you live but if you go on the LANE#1 website and click find a pro shop they should have something there for you. You can drill the DB either pin up between the fingers at 12 o'clock c.g. in line, or pin down between the fingers c.g. out at 5 o'clock with this drill it will be a stronger arc. The HYDB for oil can be drilled at 3 3/8 leverage or 4 1/2 max leverage both pin down drills and scuff the cover with a green scotch brite depending on how heavy the oil is. StJoe, you may be asking for a bit too much.

If you want a ball to work well on carrydown and/or heavy oil, you won't see much of a "snap". Also, pearl balls tend to snap more than solid balls.

With that being said, you should expect the Dirty Bomb to snap more on the back and the Hybrid to roll smoother and/or have a controllable arc pattern. =:^D
