OR, you could try to explain why it took 2 months, and you made 75 dollars, so carry the 1, add the cents..

You made a little over a dollar a day, MINUS the material you used to do this.

I learned this, you sir, know how to make some high dollars.  Why even waste your time, you own a "business" isn't it about making money?  People should be flocking to you since your the "man" and know everything right?  How did you have time for this?

Please come off your high horse and back down to reality whenever you choose.  You make yourself look really great on these boards don't ya know?  Hell if i lived closer i would come to your shop (sarcasm) and get my cracked balls fixed by you,  Wait, i have NONE, they are not lane 1!!!

I agree with most people that posted, throw those pieces of shart and excuses for bowling balls in the dumpster, where they F'in belong.

Also,

I can assure you that the size and roundness of these balls when done were still far better than the first quality crap coming out of mexico...

I was sold undersized Mexico balls as first quality and their MAIN man told me that he has been drilling balls for 20 years and it doesn't matter.. A full 3/16" gap on the Pro Sect small....

What do we have to say about that??

The whole fact that all you losers keep replying to these stupid crap threads is funny...Myself included!!

It is 100% possitive that this site is cancer and there is no cure...

I guess the days of meaningful conversation is over!!!

Too bad...

I''ve plugged a fully cracked ball before.

Drill 2-3 small holes along the crack, fill the sides on each(in the crack) with putty.  Build a dam around the drilled holes, fill, cut, repeat the next day.  It''s something I did while bored in the shop and it came out decent but would never ever reccommend it for a paying customer as a fix.

Thank you DP. Like I''ve said it''s not rocket science. Just debateable whether the time and materials are worth it.

I''ve done it differently yet. Since usually the crack will end up in one (or two) of the holes, prep a hole to plug and dam it along with as much of the crack you can. Then run black tape around the rest of the crack (it''s amazing how far plug will seep along the crack). If the crack stops before hitting another hole, I drill a small hole in the end of the crack to keep it from spreading further. If it hits another hole, run tape into that hole. Plug it in stages from there, knocking down the dried plug and removing some of the black tape, redamming, and then plug along the crack until you finish. Throw it on the Haus, refinish and done. Takes less than a week for that method and the few that I have done have all lasted the life of the ball. I''ve only done this for the heck of it on balls that I have drilled for myself as it''s not worth trying to sell this as a service to everyone.

No idea who.

Actually I wonder why.  JLS has topped anything you've ever said in the past.  Lol.

So yours couldn't be so bad.

Wow JLS you really are jealous of Beans for being able to do something you can't do. Get over it dude just cause your a pro shop hack and Beans isn't so what, maybe instead of bashing him you could learn some stuff from him but you won't shut up long enough to learn from a real pro shop owner.

If this plugged cracked ball is drilled and used again extensively, can the plugged crack withold ? How long it will last before the plugged area probably starts to crack again ? Just curious.

Yet another thread showing the class of sawheads.  If their heads aren''t exploding, they are paying $75 per cracked ball to keep.  You sawheads are so cluless.  When will reality set in?

Hey tubbo.  Yeah you beans, what balls will you be using this weekend in the regional since the almighty Lane#1 can''t be used?  I hope you have something that carries the crossover well, like in the Big Show.

So far I have drilled:

Widow Sting
Widow Original
Mission
Terminal Velocity
Hot Sauce
Drilling an Original Nitro/R today...

I have to be honest... Besides the Hot Sauce rolling like my shiny Dynamo...I'm not in love with any of them...

My Blue Death out performs all of them easily...

It is true that Lane#1 balls give you a slightly unique roll compared to other stuff and it matches my game perfect. I am not really comfortable going to this regional with a brand new arsenal.

Kudos and thanks go out to Lane#1 and Richie for caring more about the sport of bowling and not limiting me from bowling PBA events. It shows class that they allow a lifetime staff member to use other products to be able to compete at the PBA level. PBA registration is a joke and entirely overpriced.

Hopefully the day will come when the PBA is open to all bowlers and equipment and can make a living for far more than the top 10 players on tour...

It sure can. If the process is done correctly, it will last as long as any plugged thumb or finger holes. Drilling out the crack is crucial to the process. You can just plug the crack itself but then you are risking the strength of the fusion.

Again, this process is neither cost effective and is time consuming. Not to mention very expensive!!!

BUT....If you have a cracked ball and you want it fixed.. I will do it for the right price...

Why would I want to do that?  Fantasy pools are 75% luck.  If I beat you, all I show is that I am luckier than you.

i don't know why you're saying its so far fetched...
My paradigm cracked from the pin probably 5 inches around the ball, but just through the coverstock.  We routered the crack and filled it with plug, and covered the plug dam with tape so none would leak out.  it took probably a week to get all the plug hardened, but it was good as new when it was done.  i still throw it every wednesday night for second shift.

I have never bothered to drill or router out the crack and the plugs I have done on them have lasted the life of the ball. In some cases the ball would crack elsewhere and not on the repair (an Omega LM did that) That ball finally found the dumpster after that.
