Well for me the HDB was a ball that was really touchy as to which layout you put on it.
I had three of them the first two was layed out label and I absolutely hated both of them. With the label layout the HDB for me would never move more than a couple of boards at the most and that was on lighter conditions or drier conditions.
The third HDB I had layed out with the pin above the Bridge and the Cg swung right about 1-1 1/2 inches, with this layout I could throw the HDB on just about anything except heavy conditions and I absolutely loved the reaction I got from the HDB with this layout
the HDB to me is a love hate relationship and I think if you put the wright layout on it you will love it if you do not then you will not be able to unload it fast enough.

My layout was similar to Rabiddog's. Mine is layed out with the pin undert the ring finger and the CG in th strong position about 1 1/2 inches from the thumb hole.
I could used this ball on medium as long as there was some dry back end, but I can really open up the lane with this ball. I track a little low so this isn't a good heavier oil ball for me.

Mine is drilled with pin in palm, cg at 45 degrees similar to the rico drilling but not quite. In box finish with a high gloss polish, the ball is a little squirty, but with a light polish this ball really shines. Strong midlane roll and smooth and continuous backend motion. It's my benchmark ball right now and I never struggle to find a line with it. Personally, it is the most versatile ball i've ever thrown and I have a hard time putting it down.
