    MegaMav,

I own Big B as well as a Hybrid and in my opinion there is NO comparison. The hybrid is in a league of it's own. Its just that darn good. Its all I throw now.

Take a look at the reviews. They speak for themselves.

i'd like the gague what kind of reaction im going to get on a med/oily fresh shot.
lane #1 doesnt have any hook pot/breakpoint/length measuring tools like brunswick does.

i havent used my lane #1 equip long enough to know which is better.
lane #1 hasnt unseated brunswick as #1 in my opinion yet.

Okay, my brother owns an Absolute. I can throw his stuff. My hybrid outhooks his absolute by 3-5 boards and is extremely smooth. Partially due to my stacked drilling which evens out the skid/snap. His Absolute is pretty skid/snap or at least it was at first. He redrilled it for control and now my hybrid outhooks it by 5-8 boards. His is smoother than it was but the control drill reduced it's overall hook. Best I can do for you.

Most Big B balls roll too early for me due to my slower speed and amount of hand. I have to do little tweaks to them to make them behave. Like drilling target weight holes to give it more lope down the alley to give me more length.
My 10 cents worth... Hope it helped.

My hybrid works right the first time, no tweaks needed. No surface tweaks. And best of all no redrills because the proshop didn't listen to him to begin with.
You can't get better than Lane #1. Good drillers wont hurt you either

    heres the deal...
i put up a post on the brunswick board about this subject and got some pretty lame guesses.

ok, im in a new league, i have a brand new uranium, i bust that out first, practice was cut short for some reason on the first night, so i only got 1 shot with it, i released with side rotation, and it skated too far.

the pattern was pretty long, i had little success with the uranium, so i switched to my inferno, strugged with the breakpoint with the same release, so i switched to a more "up the back" release, and i strung up 5 in a row.

i didnt try the "up the back" release with the uranium, is there a reason why the uranium skated past the breakpoint when the layout/core is meant to roll earlier?

see the links above for pictures of layouts.

so this is why im thinkin about the hybrid dirty bomb.
im thinking im trying to throw balls not meant for the conditions.
but, it seemed like long medium oil, my ball had oil tracks till the mid 3rd game.

sounds like prime conditions for the uranium to me.

Megamev, I realize what I am going to say was not asked by you, but I'm going to say it anyway. For what you described, I would strongly consider the solid uranium. Check the layout options on the lane one site, then once you have decided your prefered layout, order a ball with the appropriate pin & top weight to suit that drilling. The coverstock on the solid U is very manageable, & if the ball is a little too strong for the condition, you can sand it up to a higher grit or polish it. I had one with a 1:30 label drilling & for my league shot, it was a little strong and too early of a roll even with that drilling. I polished it slightly & used it the rest of the season with great success. It went longer but read the midlane well & had a strong hard break to the pocket. Just my opinion.
