I don't remember the exact life span of the ball sales for it but it got dropped because omplaints of it being too strong.  It was too close in reaction to a pearl resin and not a pearl urethane so they pulled it.  It didn't really accomplish what they set out to do is my understanding.  I do love mine though it is a fantactic ball on drier lanes.

Anybody can compare this.....a Lane #1 XXL to a Visionary Slate Blue Gargoyle?   Both about the same or how much difference?

Thanks,
Scott

Well I have seen Strider throw his slate blue and I have of course thrown the XXL myself.  To me the XXL is longer and snappier in the back while the slate blue is smoother and not so snappy.  Similiar as far as number of boards maybe but definitely some difference in reaction shape.

The XXL I have here is every bit as strong as my Emerald Pearl or the Sling Blade I had. The ball has an uncommonly strong backend snap for a urethane.

The XXL is VERY clean up front but does come off the corner stronger than any urethane I have ever seen. It beats out the Slate Gargoyle, Blue Pearl Hammer, PEarl U2, Red PEarl Hammer and any other pearl urethane I have ever thrown.

I don't use the XXL anymore and it's for sale if anyone is looking.

L 1 B...the Silver Diamond is a reactive, not a urethane.
