Buzzsaw, from Beans.
Anyone, roll one, what was your impression of the ball?

TIA.

Sorry for the hijack, but was was the defect with some of the Tsunami's?  I like mine a bunch, but the cover was much weaker than what most people describe.  I bought a new one as a back up some time ago (from Beans via eBay) and wonder if one or both might have an issue.  Can you tell anything from the serial number?  I'd hate to have one sitting around for several years, finally drill it up, and find out it's a dud.

I'm going to send this back up to the top and see if someone can answer Strider's question about the Tsunami. I love my Tsu but it will eventually  need to be replaced, so I want to make sure I don't get a dead one.

Well with the amount of balls I have drilled along with selling online. I think the problem lies with miss marked balls. Ball that were actually 1-2 pins were purposely marked as 3-4's. I have never hade the problems with any short pin balls. It was always the 3-4 pin balls that I had flare problems with. As T-God stated I sent all the balls back for replacement everytime. Richie even called me about the Solid Uraniums back then.

Duke,
Ball will be shipped on Friday as it was packed tonight. 1-2" pin. I have drilled about 6 out of this batch with no problems. No worries...

Why? Lots of short pins off the line, Lane 1 did not want short pins, one guy on the Brunswick line decided himself, with no direction from corporate, to drill a 2nd fake pin into the ball and drill out the first pin so there were less blems or less balls that had to be thrown away or whatever happens when they come off bad.

Being in manufacturing, I can assure you this was not the case.  One guy on the line didn't make that decision... Brunswick management did.  I would bet a lot of money on that.
When you produce massive amounts of a product that your customer doesn't want, and you yourself cant use... some heads are going to roll.

Oh BTW Duke, I have the C+.  It's my only Buzzsaw.  I practically have to stand in the next lane to get far enough left to use it... and I have no hand.

I'm a lefty, 62-y-o, w/o much hand...more speed dominant.
It should be a good ball, for those occasions, I have to move inside 15, and swing out.

The C+ is one badmammajamma!  Hooks and carries with great predictability. One of my top 5 balls from Lane 1!

mine is drilled label due to a short pin and has midlane but also nice backend.

For me the ball is a med-oil ball... not for more
Same strenght on the midlane as my Machine but more about backend so just a tad stronger but not for oil as the layout is not for oil... sadly...

Why am I stressing that it is not for oil... cause it was promoted as this... and BigB screwed up the thing from what I heard

For me the ball is all or nothing... when it works it is unstoppable
whe it does not... I find it hard to make it work for me.

I need to adjust the cover. now I have it at a nice 600dull... but will try it with some nice polish... SeCReT SauCe

Rolly strong arching ball that is good when their is some oil being a low load particle ball. Don't expect the big backend which is why some were probably disappointed. My first Lane1 ball and I loved the reaction, but I'm also a fan of low load particle balls solid or pearl.

While you may have manufacturing experience, I have bowling industry knowledge, and I can tell you without a doubt Brunswick high ups lost their arse because of this, lost the Lane 1 account, and the decision was made by a supervisor to do this. I realize you may think Rico and Nick are prejudice and would not tell the real story, but even Nick stated a line boss made this decision on his own.

No, no... I have no reason to doubt Rico or Nick... heck I had never even heard the story before now.  I was just thinking about how hard this would be to pull off in my plant.  Granted, with us (tires) peoples lives ride on our product... LITERALLY!  With bowling balls, no lives at stake, just egos! LOL

Regardless, amazing story.

Man that guy's balls must have been as big as... well... Bowling Balls!! LOL!!!
