Title: If you could bring back a retired ball
Post by: fiber_cut on March 11, 2004, 10:12:44 PM
If you had the oppurtunity to bring back one of the Lane#1 retired
balls which ball would you like to see added back into production?

My vote would be the 'XL'

I would have to say the Nuke from Track, that was a ball i rally wanted but never had the chance to throw.

Sorry just realised that you asked only for Lane#1 gear, have never tried any but will in the future, still I want the Nuke

Pro Purple . . . i have posted this quite a few times here and on lane #1's website, but richie said that although it was one of his favorite balls of all time, too, the sales were not as good as with other products.

with such a unique coverstock, that absorbs oil 30 times LESS than an average reactive resin coverstock, i'm very surprised that some other ball is not in the works.  oil absorbtion is such an issue now that i think this type of ball would have a huge market.

this ball with the cranberry core, or super bomb core, would be a dream come true for me!!!

I use my Purple pro alot, I got a killer deal on mine. I was bowling in laughlin
and the proshop there was moving everything towards what AMF wanted so they were
getting rid of their last 2 pro purple. I picked up 1 15lb and 1 16lb for a total of $50.00 for both.. I was stoked...

FYI, that second rate junk provided this particular youth bowler his first 300 and 750 series before the age of 17.

Bull Whip  OOOPPPPS, I didn't see the Lane1 qualification.  Original Buzzsaw black.  That ball was kinda cool. I am still paying off the home equity loan that I took out to buy it!!!

Come on, I couldn't resist.......

It's all good, bro.

Besides, it couldn't have been ALL of the equipment's responsibility.  I threw another one six months later with a Columbia Black Knight!

Speaking of 300`s I threw 2 with the XL and I threw 1 with a green carbide
bomb of of the box, 1 with Carbide pearl. I have had many 27*`s with the newer lane#1 but havent visted the 300 club in like a year. My 1st 300 was back in the day with
an old Omega Blue.

Defininetly the Pink Raspberry, just because a good pink ball is hard to find.

I've found that the RESET button is the easiest way to knock down ten pins.

TEAL.  No ifs ands or buts. If you are heavy handed, this badboy is a must. I still have a NIB! 15 in storage. Just waiting for the right time to punch it up.  Beans

Pearl Carbide...I bought 2 of them from beans proshop. Made money with it and I regret that I got rid of them. Because I thought the newer stuff was better and carried the world.

I agree that ball is awsome, I cracked mine a few months back and I miss it. My brother has one and he will never give it up.

I'm a big fan of the black/c.  Core was a diamond w/ single mini directly in the center.  Gave the ball a nice mid lane read and strong acring backend.  AS a close second, I would have to vote purple pro...as I have been looking to pick up one for a while, but just can't seem to find one

I wish I could get ahold of a 15lb Teal Buzzsaw--I bought one at the Lane 1 Booth at the 1995 ABC at the Reno Bowling Stadium, John Fantini drilled it right there for me. What a great bowling ball.

The last Pearl Viper release. Had to recently find and buy a new one off a guy in the mid-west. Lucky he had one!

In the forsale section earlier someone had posted that they were selling a teal buzzsaw.
