Title: If You Could Only Have One Ball........
Post by: Brickguy221 on June 04, 2006, 03:32:31 PM: If you bowled on lanes where the oil always ranged from light to medium plus (almost medium-heavy) but never heavy oil, and you could only have one Lane 1 ball, what would be your ball of choice? Tsunami? Colbolt? Other?

Hammer High Rev seems to do the trick for me, same as its predecessor (3D Hammer). This ball is so consistent at the breakpoint; it only fizzles out when the lanes become too dry or the Exxon Valdez gushes by. Hit is superior and the read is most dependable. In other words: just what the doctor ordered for your bowling needs.

Post by: Spider Ball Bowler on June 04, 2006, 11:40:30 PM: Even though this is a Lane 1 post...I'm going with the Tropical Storm...but in the Lane 1 Lineup it would be the Super Carbide Bomb..worked well for me on the conditions you named.

TS&A!? are you crazy, for light to medium, I know people that wont take it out unless nothing else moves.
but I would defenatly go for a tsunami. extermely versitile ball.

It's the highest priced single pin spare ball that I own in fact its the highest price ball that I own. I guess me and lane1 just don,t match up well I'm not bad mouthing them

First choice would be the old reliable silver diamond. Second choice would be an XL. Third choice would be the emerald.

Depending on how light the light was, might even have to consider the XXL

Post by: Charles on June 23, 2006, 08:48:33 AM: I got to go qith the Hybrid Dirty Bomb in the Lane 1 line. Mine is drilled stacked with a little polish on it. This handles the med-light stuff well with movements. It also can handle med-heavy with a hit from the scotchbrite also if I move right. Always a smooth readable arc to the hole. With that said, it is still not as versitile as my Morich Weapon of Mass Bias 2 with the hybrid coverstock. It handles everything except for extreme wet and it is polished slightly also. Just a little hand position change and it'll handle the drier stuff.
