Ignorant Question about Lane#1 coverstocks
« on: January 24, 2007, 02:02:29 AM »
Now that Lane#1 has moved to Columbia and are using their resins, etc. ,How would I know if a Lane#1 ball had a Brunswick cover or Columbia cover? For Example - If I bought a Cobalt Pearl right now - Would I get a Brunswick cover (if there was still one in stock from an earlier run) or would most all of them now  be Columbia poured balls?

Also - Wouldn't there be SOME difference in the reaction of a Brunswick cover and a Columbia cover (even with the same Bomb Core?

Forgive me if this topic has been beaten into a bloody pulp already......

they cannot intertwine the stocks, starting with the hrg, they are columbia, anything prior to that is big b, except for the red xxxl and that is columbia, and the clear was produced overseas, anything prior to the hrg is strictly a big b mixture

On edit, it would take a new certification via usbc to switht the coverstock manufacturer, that is why you prolly will not see that

No ball has switched from being Brunswick-made to C300-made.  The Uranium HRG and the G-Force are made by C300, everything else by Brunswick.  If you buy a Cobalt, it's a Brunswick-made ball.  They may be discontinuing all of the Brunswick-sourced stuff, I don't know, but there isn't a B-made and a C300-made version of anything.
